Introduction of Rukumkot Lions Club
Rukumkot Lions Club (RKLC) is a non-profit, non-political, and non-governmental organization established in Rukum (East) District with a mission to empower youth and drive social transformation. At its core, RKLC believes that the energy, creativity, and vision of young people are key to building a better future. The club focuses on fostering entrepreneurship, skill development, and leadership among youth, enabling them to become self-reliant and socially responsible individuals.
RKLC plays an active role in guiding young people to recognize their rights, duties, and potential. It conducts various programs that focus on employment, self-employment, and the development of technical and professional capabilities. By addressing educational gaps and encouraging innovation, the club inspires youth to become confident entrepreneurs and changemakers.
The organization is equally committed to advocating for the rights of marginalized groups, including women, children, senior citizens, people with disabilities, Dalits, Janajatis, and other disadvantaged communities. Promoting human rights and inclusion is central to RKLC’s mission. Alongside this, the club organizes sports events, cultural programs, and uses social media platforms such as YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, and Instagram to share educational and entertaining content that uplifts and unites.
RKLC also runs awareness campaigns on pressing social issues like climate change, environmental conservation, drug abuse, and crime prevention. Health, hygiene, and lifestyle education are key areas of focus, and the club frequently organizes fundraising initiatives to support the helpless and disabled.
Deeply rooted in the cultural identity of Rukum, RKLC is dedicated to preserving indigenous art and traditions while promoting progressive reform. The club believes in transforming outdated practices and fostering a more civilized, compassionate, and forward-thinking society. By mobilizing youth and channeling their potential toward community betterment, Rukumkot Lions Club continues to be a strong pillar of positive change in the region.

- Rights and Inclusion Advocacy: We actively advocate for the rights of marginalized groups, including women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, Dalits, Janajatis, and other underrepresented communities. We promote equality, dignity, and human rights for all.
- Sports, Culture, and Digital Engagement: Through sports competitions, cultural events, and positive use of social media platforms (YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Instagram), we engage youth in creative expression and responsible digital communication.
- Social Transformation and Environmental Awareness: From climate action and environmental conservation to health, hygiene, and anti-drug campaigns — we lead programs that raise awareness and inspire lasting societal impact. We also conduct fundraising efforts to support underprivileged, helpless, and disabled individuals.
